Ehhh.
That's the best way for me to describe this game. I was pretty indifferent about all of it. In my opinion, it just had that vibe to it that it wasn't going to work out for us.
While the game was tied for most of the afternoon, I just had a feeling of some impending doom.
It's kind of like when I pour recently-spoiled into my cereal. It's not fully spoiled yet, so it's difficult to tell if it actually is.
After a few bites of cereal, though, I start to sense something is wrong. But, I carry on until the end - why? I've gotta have my Cinnamon Toast Crunch. That's why.
But seriously, this game just felt so-so to me throughout.
Yes! Like that exactly, thank you Jay.
CC struggled a bit, early on, but settled in for a solid performance:
5 IP, 7 hits, 2 ER, 1 walk, 4 Ks.
We scored our two runs thanks to a Miggy RBI double and a Cutch RBI walk. This was the third straight game that Cutch had at least one RBI. The man is HOT. Probably from all that coffee he has been drinking in Seattle.
Ya get it? Because coffee is hot? (Rovell/Greeny joke, don't hate)
Chaddy Green pitched two great innings in the 6th and 7th. But then, Dellin came in for the 8th and gave up a leadoff walk - not a great sign with Dellin.
That run eventually came around to score thanks to a stolen base, a sacrifice to third, and a fielder's choice. Fucking small ball.
Note: Small ball is really annoying unless your team is doing it.
Ah well, 3-2 loss. We still won the series.
Yesterday we bordered a plane out of Coffeeland and headed directly to the second nicest place in the world. The cousins of Canada....Minnesota, eh?
Happ is on the bump tonight, let's start off with a win!
LET'S GO YANKS
